The News

Matt Goodman (drums) and Mel Brown (bass) are two musicians who enjoy some of the finer things in life:  Good friendship, good coffee, and of course, good music.  Quite accidentally, they discovered a copacetic approach to life both on and off of the band stand.  A solid friendship ensued, and the rumblings of leading their own group began to take shape.

The Bad Sneakers band came to fruition in the summer of 2006, and was initially focused on performing the music of Steely Dan.  The original lineup was strong, and it enjoyed unexpected, unprecedented success at all of its shows.  After a short hiatus, Matt and Mel returned, resurrecting the Sneakers with some new faces and a fresh sound.  To date, their Sneaker bag has expanded to include not only 30+ Steely Dan didies, but a stacked Tower Of Power set, and a variable buffet of select soul/R&B/rock/singer-songwriter infused goodness too, (dubbed the Soul Syndicate :).  PLUS, ace Sneakers Tracy Celaya and Dony Adair have taken the matter(s) of dance band destiny into their own hands, and invited Matt & Mel to come along - check out TreJaVu!
